The Birmingham Grand Strategy Seminar & the IR and Security Theory working group welcomes Dr. Rob Geist Pinfold from Durham University to discuss his book Understanding Territorial Withdrawal: Israeli Occupations and Exits (2023, Oxford University Press). Dr. Rob Geist Pinfold is a scholar of international security whose research intersects the study of strategy and territorial conflict. His existing work has focused on two key themes:
- military occupation and exit dilemmas
- how 'grand strategy' is studied within the academy.
