NEWS
20/11/2009 - A pioneering new research centre which will use advanced techniques in computing and robotics to unlock the secrets of the brain is set to open at the University of Birmingham in 2010.
13/11/2009 -  Third year medical students at the University of Birmingham are learning to perform female pelvic examinations with the help of women who have been recruited and trained specifically to be teachers of these skills.
12/11/2009 - Treating patients who suffer from narrowing of the main blood vessel to the kidney by inserting a metal stent provides little or no worthwhile clinical benefit, and given the risk of serious complications it should be used less, according to an international trial led by the University of Birmingham.
EVENTS
16/11/2009 (6pm) - Regardless of your beliefs or opinions in relation to Climate Change, the decisions made at UN negotiations in Copenhagen this December will determine the climate, and essentially the world in which today's students will live their adult lives.
04/12/2009 (4.30pm) - This year we are proud to announce that the lecture will be presented by Dr Gillian Tett, assistant editor for the Financial Times.  The annual guest lecture is a chance to celebrate our doctoral researchers' achievements by holding a research showcase before the lecture.
